Hitting a High Note

Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart watches as his wife, Emiley Z. Lockhart, climbs into HOV Alvin during a tour last month. The couple visited WHOI with their friend, NASA astronaut Sunita “Suni” Williams, who was part of the first-ever call from Alvin to the International Space Station in 2007 with WHOI Biologist Tim Shank. Emiley Lockhart, who is General Counsel and Policy Director for Massachusetts state Senator Eileen Donoghue, spent about a half-hour inside the sub with her husband.
