Mark Abbott Named Institution's
10th President and Director

Biological oceanographer Mark Abbott joins WHOI from Oregon State University, where he was dean and professor of the College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences.
He succeeds Susan Avery, who served from 2008 to 2015.
