CSI Woods Hole

Bridgett Dunnigan of the National Marine Life Center and Joy Reidenberg of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine examine a 900-pound leatherback turtle during a necropsy in May 2007.  Many uncommon specimens, from shrimp to whales, pass through WHOI’s Computerized Scanning and Imaging (CSI) Facility, as veterinarians and marine biologists from many institutions and agencies use the facility to investigate the deaths of marine animals.
