Layers of Knowledge

A young visitor to WHOI’s Ocean Science Exhibit Center watches a water density demonstration that explains how layers can form in the ocean. To participate in activities like this and to learn more about research going on in and around Cape Cod, join us for the Under the Waves: WHOI Science in Local Waters this Sunday, June 7, from noon – 3:00 p.m. The public event is free and lets visitors meet scientists, engineers, and other WHOI staff and get up close with some of the equipment used to uncover the mysteries within our own regional waters.(Photo by Kama Theiler, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution)
