The library invites all creative community members to participate in this summer’s Community Art Project! Each summer, the library selects a common medium or theme, community members create works of art using that medium or theme, and the amazing results are displayed in the library and auctioned off as a fundraiser. This summer, the common medium is a ubiquitous material in all of our lives: newspaper! Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate in this fun and creative tradition. The library has an ample supply of newspapers available for those who do not have their own at home. Completed projects should be brought to the library by Monday, July 22, and will be on display for the entire week.
