Into the Deep Blue Yonder

The autonomous underwater vehicle Sentry is lowered into the North Atlantic for deep-ocean testing during a cruise on the R/V Oceanus in April 2008. Engineers are in the final stages of readying the deep-ocean survey vehicle for use by the scientific community later this year.
