The Graduates

The MIT-WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography/Applied Ocean Science and Engineering, created in 1968, has graduated nearly 1000 alumni. Each year, graduating Joint Program students participate in the MIT commencement. Every five years, WHOI holds an additional commencement ceremony in Woods Hole for students graduating that year and all students who graduated from the program since the previous Woods Hole commencement. Students who graduated from the Joint Program from September 2010 to June 2015 and returned for the ceremony stand together at the Woods Hole commencement.
