Visitors to a WHOI ship
November 21, 2008Dolphins cruised next to the research vessel Atlantis this October while the ship traveled south of Baja California, en route to oceanographic research in the Sea of Cortez. “We just happened to be in a particularly calm spot, with no ripples or waves, so it looked like the dolphins were in air (or we were in the water),” said Mark Spear, a pilot of the submersible Alvin.
