Hannah Piecuch
Hannah Piecuch is a staff writer for Oceanus magazine and a designer in WHOI’s Creative Studio. As both a writer and designer, she has a comprehensive perspective on how text and imagery work together to tell powerful stories about ocean science and engineering. She especially enjoys reporting on science from sea or the field, and writing stories that explore the human experience in nature. She holds an MFA in fiction and studied classical liberal arts for her undergraduate degree. In her free time, Hannah enjoys open water swimming, reading murder mysteries in her hammock, and seaside walks with her husband Christopher and their dogs Penny and Lance.
