One day record

This image shows a closer look at 1 and 5 mHz ABSS during the storm on June 28th. During the six hour period from June 27th 19.2hrs to June 28th 1.2hrs a bottom ripple of height 10 cm passed below the 5 mHz sensor. Unfortunately with a "1-d" sensor such as this we can not determine the horizontal extent of this bottom feature. In 1995 we plan to deploy a rotary bottom mapping sonar to image bedforms. The relation of bedform evolution to sediment suspension events is an important part of sediment transport modelling. The three red lines labelled 1,2, and 3 indicate where 80 second records are extracted for the next figure.
