Help! I can't get sound to play!
To play a sound file on a PC, your computer needs a sound card. If your computer is already
capable of sound (like a Macintosh) but still can't play these, you may need a
"helper application" like SoundMachine. You can find
and set these under preferences in your web browser application (like Netscape or
Mosaic). Get to the pull-down menu that says "helper applications," and choose the
sound categories (both ".au" and ".aiff"). Then you can "browse" on your hard drive,
find your sound player application, select it, and hit "okay."
