Oxygen sampling
Many thanks to model Julia Linke for being so patient for this shot. For three days in a row I tried to get this shot just right, but I always knew it could be better. The primary problem was the lighting (or lack thereof) in the wet lab. It was a constant battle just to find a clean light source. Eventually I found a spot where Julia could stand so that a nice soft light illuminated her face. I chose a moderate telephoto to eliminate background clutter and shot with a wide open aperture to minimize the depth of field (I wanted the focus to to be Julia's hands holding the oxygen sample).
