Exhibit Center: Teacher Workshops

Topics in Oceanography Workshops

Twice a year, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution sponsors a one-day workshop for educators. Called "Topics in Oceanography," the workshop provides formal and informal educators with direct access to WHOI scientists and the latest results of their research. The program is limited to 25 participants to allow for the greatest amount of interaction between educators and scientists.

The workshop schedule varies from year to year—usually June and November.

Presented at the WHOI Exhibit Center

The workshops are held in the WHOI Exhibit Center and the program topics relate to current exhibits and displays. We encourage teachers to learn as much as possible about the exhibts and to bring their students to the Center for a visit.

The workshops are presented by the WHOI Academic Programs, Information, and Sea Grant Offices. You can learn more about the workshops and read descriptions of past workshops on the Topics in Oceanography workshop site.
