CLIVAR and Carbon Hydrographic Data Office (CCHDO)
The CCHDO's primary mission is to deliver the highest possible quality global CTD and hydrographic data to users. These data are a product of decades of observations related to the physical characteristics of ocean waters carried out during WOCE, CLIVAR and numerous other oceanographic research programs.

Interdisciplinary Earth Data Alliance (IEDA)
IEDA is a community-based data facility funded by NSF to support, sustain, and advance the geosciences by providing data services for observational solid earth data from the Ocean, Earth, and Polar Sciences. IEDA includes Marine-Geo (MGDS) and PetDB.

CIESIN specializes in on-line data and information management, spatial data integration and training, and interdisciplinary research related to human interactions in the environment.

Earth Science Reference Data and Models
The EarthRef.org portal provides access to data describing the geochemical make-up of all earth reservoirs. It serves, for example, databases compiled as part of the Geochemical Earth Reference Model (GERM) project.

Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS)
The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology is a university research consortium dedicated to exploring the Earth's interior through the collection and distribution of seismographic data.

SIO Explorer
This portal provides access to data, documents and images from ?822 expeditions of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography (SIO) since 1903.? Funding is provided through the NSF National Science Digital Library program (http://www.nsdl.org/) and the NSF Information Technology Research program (http://www.nsf.gov/home/crssprgm/itr/). The portal is a collaborative effort among SIO researchers, computer scientists from SDSC, and archivists and librarians from the University of California San Diego Library.

NOAA/PMEL Live Access Server (LAS)
The Live Access Server (LAS) is a highly configurable web server designed to provide flexible access to geo-referenced scientific data, in particular a growing number of geo-referenced climate data systems. The LAS is operated primarily by NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL, http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/).

Ocean Biogeographical Information System USA (OBIS-USA)
OBIS-USA brings together marine biological occurrence data – recorded observations of identifiable marine species at a known time and place, collected primarily from U.S. OBIS-USA is part of an international data sharing network (see link below).

IODE Ocean Data Portal
The International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange (IODE) programme of IOC UNESCO, through its distributed network of National Oceanographic Data Centres (NODCs), is establishing the Ocean Data Portal (ODP) to facilitate seamless access to marine data/services and to promote the exchange and dissemination of marine data and services.

Ocean Biogeographical Information System (OBIS)
OBIS provides a portal or gateway to many datasets containing information on where and when marine species have been recorded. Created by the Census of Marine Life, OBIS is now part of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, under its International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange programme.

OceanSITES
The mission of OceanSITES is to collect, deliver and promote the use of high-quality data from long-term, high-frequency observations at fixed locations in the open ocean.
