WOODS HOLE PUBLIC LIBRARY: Fix-It Nights
January 13, 2020 @ 7:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely
Woods Hole resident Daniel Gomez-Ibanez will be offering a series of “Fix-It Nights” one Monday a month at 7 p.m., at the library starting on January 13. Every session will demonstrate a repair or adaptive reuse of a common household item, with plenty of time for examination of attendees’ own broken items. The first night will feature lamp repair. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own broken lamp and Dan will walk them through the steps of fixing it. As in previous years, people should walk away empowered with a new skill. Following sessions may include replacing a depleted iPhone battery, or retrofitting a cassette boom box as Bluetooth speaker. These sessions will be offered free of charge, though materials will need to be purchased by the owner, depending on the repair. For more details and to register, or to suggest a repair project, call the library at (508) 548-8961.
