Gone But Not Forgotten

Gone But Not Forgotten

October 13, 2017

WHOI biologist Lauren Mullineaux presented the first Diane Poehls Adams Early Career award to Camila Negrão Signori at the 6th International Symposium on Chemosynthesis-Based Ecosystems, recognizing Signori’s research in microbiology and the polar ocean. The award is bestowed on individuals who show fearlessness, deep intellect, and a broad synthetic approach to science. Poehls Adams died in June of this year, but Mullineaux, who was her MIT-WHOI Joint Program advisor, says she was known for these attributes.
