Presents photographer Barry Beder who will present his photo collection titled “The Art of the Hull” on Friday, May 10, at noon, in Redfield Auditorium, 45 Water St., Woods Hole.  Most boaters who see dirty and weathered boat hulls reach for the power washer but Barry Beder, instead, reaches for his camera seeing only seascapes, landscapes, and beautiful imagery. Barry’s photos have been described as remarkable, magical, and sometimes eerie. His extreme close-ups of boat hulls reveal images presented without coloration, filters, or photoshop manipulation. He will present his discovery and journey with boat hull photography, illuminating the complex interplay between oceans, science, weather, and man. Sponsored by the WHOI Visitor Center.
