Tele-present

As part of the TREET (Transforming Remotely Conducted Research Through Ethnography, Education & Rapidly Evolving Technologies) program, early-career scientists and undergraduate students learned how to use telepresence technology during a live research dive. Here, students and scientists from the University of Idaho and Harvard University monitored real-time activity deep beneath the research vessel Nautilus from WHOI’s Coleman and Susan Burke Operations Room.
