Pole to Pole

On April 23, the outreach team of WHOI’s Polar Discovery web expeditions reached the farthest tip of inhabited land in North America Canadian Forces Station Alert. Today, exactly seven months later, that team is headed as far south (in latitude) as they went north, venturing into Antarctica. (Photo by Christopher Linder, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution)
