Discovering Hydrothermal Vents
On the Central Indian Ridge, the vent sites look remarkably like those on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, with abundant anemones and shrimp. But a closer look reveals species from the Pacific, including hairy snails and pink, long-stalked barnacles.
