Conservation matters

Baba Dioum was serving as Senegal’s Director General of Water and Forestry in 1968, when he shared this wisdom with the IUCN, an organization he helped found:

“In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught.”
