With backing in part through the UN’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), the conference provides a forum for discussing how existing information systems can serve different users in ocean science. The poster highlighted some of the work being done at WHOI in the field of informatics, especially at the Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) and the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) project.
