Precision Testing

WHOI marine chemist Aleck Wang and his research team are developing a new instrument to measure two key factors in the global carbon cycle that helps regulate Earth’s climate. The new Channelized Optical System (CHANOS II) is designed to take very precise measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon and the amount (partial pressure) of carbon dioxide in ocean water.
