Ready for 2014

Shipboard Scientific Services Group technician Allison Heater stands on the submersible Alvin during recovery of the sub to R/V Atlantis in 2009 off the coast of Oregon. The past year, 2013, saw the return of Alvin to the water after a 2-year refit that gave the sub a larger personnel sphere and the potential to reach 6500 meters after another round of upgrades in the future.
