Springtime in the Arctic Circle
June 4, 2007From April 1 to 13, 2007, WHOI chemists and geologists explored the Mackenzie River Delta in the Canadian Arctic in search of clues of historic and recent changes in the spring flood, which are likely related to climate change. The team included (from left to right): Dennis Felix (environmental monitor and Inuit guide), Tommy Smith (Inuit wildlife monitor), Daniel Montlucon (WHOI research associate), Liviu Giosan (WHOI geologist), Angela Dickens (WHOI postdoctoral scholar), and WHOI chemist Tim Eglinton.
