The heading blocks that tell watchstanders on R/V Neil Armstrong the direction the ship is supposed to be traveling share a console with the slightly higher tech dynamic positioning control. The blocks were a fixture on R/V Knorr and made the transition to their new home during Armstrong‘s inaugural voyage down the West Coast to the Panama Canal, a trip that gave the crew a chance to learn more about their new ship. Now members of the public can enter for a chance to help celebrate the arrival of Neil Armstrong to its new home.
