Under the Weather (Buoy)

Liarikos and Kemp were working to secure the buoy during a recovery at sea in February 2007 on the research vessel Knorr. In the foreground (left) rests the Air Sea Interaction Spar, another buoy that was deployed and recovered during the expedition. The goal of the CLIMODE program is to understand how the interaction of atmosphere and ocean can former cooler parcels of water important to North Atlantic circulation.
