WHOI on the Big Stage

WHOI’s Acting President and Director James Luyten joins other state and federal dignitaries in announcing a $97.7 million contract to support the development, installation, and initial operation of the coastal and global components of the National Science Foundation’s Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI). WHOI will be working together with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Oregon State University to establish the next generation of ocean observing systems.
