NESMA TFO project, North Atlantic

March in the stormy North Atlantic: As part of the NESMA TFO project Adam Houk, Dan Torres, and Magdalena Andres joined in on AR65 aboard the R/V Neil Armstrong to deploy gear around the Atlantis II Seamount where the Gulf Stream runs into the New England Seamount Chain. With 8 days planned on station, only 2 were workable. Despite the swell and wind, they managed to deploy three PIESs that will be recovered in September. Photo credit: Ying-Tsong Lin.
