Workshop Goals
- highlight science
that could be done by OMD
- develop plan for "leapfrogging
array" deployments
- define the design
and technical requirements for off-shore experiments accociated
with USArray
- identify program needs
in other areas like modeling, petrology/geochemistry, EM etc.
that would complement these OBS experiments
- discuss relationship
to other major initiatives like MARGINS, RIDGE2000, OSN, and EARTHSCOPE
