Welcome Research Assistant II Adele Anderson

adeleandersonAdele Anderson, Research Assistant II, joins WHOI’s PO department. Adele earned an Sc.B. in Mathematical Geosciences from Brown University in 2017. She is tackling a project under the guidance of Amy Bower, Viviane Menezes, and Heather Furey to effectively plan for the deployment of 75 RAFOS floats that will track abyssal currents in the Deep Madagascar Basin. Inspired by a love of motorcycles, Adele spent her time since graduating working as a mechanic on Martha’s Vineyard at a woman-owned shop, where her mentor fostered in her a passion for equipping and empowering others. She looks forward to joining WHOI, where her dual interests in scientific inquiry and mechanics happen under the same roof.  In her free time, Adele plays pool, rides her motorcycle, and volunteers as an EMT.
